WALLOWA MOUNTAIN CAR CRUISE AUG. 27-28 JOSEPH — The 32nd Wallowa Mountain Cruise is happening Friday and Saturday, Aug. 27 and 28. On Friday registration runs from 4-6 p.m. outside the Joseph Community Center at the corner of East First and South Lake streets. The street dance is from 6-10 p.m. Friday, taking place near the Community Center with live music by the band Good Question. The chamber will offer mixed drinks, beer, wine and food for purchase. On Saturday, Aug. 28, the car show runs from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. on Joseph’s Main Street. Voting is between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m., and Good Question will again per- form, from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Follow- ing the car show is the Ragman Memorial Cruise to Enterprise and back. The group drive is in honor of Jim Tuschhoff, one of the Wallowa Mountain Cruise’s founders. Highway 395. Billed as the best three- day racing event in the Pacific Northwest, the action kicks off Friday, Sept. 3, and runs through Sunday, Sept. 5. The gates open nightly at 5 p.m. with a fan fest at 6:30 p.m. and racing at 7 p.m. Speedy’s Grill will be open, offer- ing a variety of food and drinks. Special three-day passes are available from $50-$130.
