The Emmy-winning cult comedy hit
returns for its eighth and final sea-
son, which will see loose-cannon De-
tective Jake Peralta (Golden Globe
winner Andy Samberg) and his col-
leagues of New York’s 99th Precinct
trying to navigate a strange new
world for police personnel, especially
in the aftermath of a pandemic. Not
exactly standard comedy fodder, but
the show’s writers seem up to the
task. Andre Braugher, Joe Lo Trug-
lio, Terry Crews, Melissa Fumero
and Stephanie Beatriz are among
the other returning regulars.

Walker
Coming off a 15-season run on “Su-
pernatural,” Jared Padalecki proved
he’s got the star power to go it alone
as a TV leading man in this reimag-
ining of an old Chuck Norris action
series. This makeover boldly empha-
sizes Walker’s role as a family man
more than a villain-kicking lawman,
but the results clicked resoundingly
with the actor’s fan base. Season 1
ends tonight with the finale “Drive,”
in which Walker receives some
shocking news that leaves his world
shattered.

their voice in support of racial justice

(Francia Raisa, Henri Esteve) rela-
tionship reaches the boiling point.

tack any remaining sense of resolve
among the survivalists, the final
four are reaching advance stages
of extreme fatigue and malnutrition
in the new episode “All In.” Some
participants simply hunker down and
struggle to power through any way
they can, while others search for
calories anywhere they’re available.
As the challenges grow ever more
severe, however, everyone still in
the competition faces the possibility
they’ll be forcibly extracted by the
show’s production team.
