You will be compelled, therefore, to study history not as an academic subject, but as an active influence over you and all those who walk the Earth with you. You rec- ognize that you cannot ever separate yourself entirely from what has gone before, and you know that your own decisions will affect those who come after you for a long, long time. SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 12 VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22) -- You may be attracted to those things that are not in your best interest, but there’s no harm in exploring them -- for the time being. LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 22) -- That which has worked for others isn’t likely to work for you today, and you may be confused by your seeming inability to do what is “normal.” SCORPIO (Oct. 23-Nov. 21) -- It’s a good day to try something you’ve avoided in the past. Those around you will take care of you when and if you have difficulty. SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21) -- You are confident you’ll come out on top today, but someone on your team may harbor doubts. It may be time for you to play it safe. CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19) -- You have a few decisions to make, but there are also a few friends available to you who will make the process more fun if not more effi- cient. AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18) -- You may find yourself slipping back into a pattern of behavior you had sworn off some time ago. You need to get to the bottom of this! PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20) -- You may be compelled to do that which others have warned you not to do. Do what you will -- but do it in a way that is careful and responsible. ARIES (March 21-April 19) -- The more colorful aspects of your personality come to the fore today. Someone from your past comes into focus once again, if only briefly. TAURUS (April 20-May 20) -- You may not be able to continue along your current course if remuneration doesn’t increase dra- matically. You don’t want to be a charity case! GEMINI (May 21-June 20) -- You may have to watch what you say with greater care than usual today. Someone you know is look- ing for trouble -- and you don’t want any of it! CANCER (June 21-July 22) -- You earn more than the usual rewards today by doing that which is part of your repertoire. A red flag is raised during evening hours. LEO (July 23-Aug. 22) -- Achievement is the goal today, and it doesn’t really matter what it is you do -- provided you are credited with doing anything at all.
