In the early days of cable TV, MTV’s scrappy, irreverent lineup of music videos eventually evolved into a reflection of America’s youth culture. As the channel and its programming matured and became more sophisticated, MTV pushed the envelope with art, sex, gender and race, and when the information revo- lution ignited, MTV was at the fore- front in new technologies. Interviews include Pat Benatar, Sting, Annie Lennox and many others.
