devastating the Soviet Union in the
1930s. Vanessa Kirby, Peter Sarsgaard,
Joseph Mawle and Krzysztof Pieczynski
also star.

Steve Coogan makes a rare foray
into drama in director Frank Coraci’s
earnest 2019 drama, in which he stars
as abrasive right-wing American radio
host Lionel Macomb, whose smug,
insular life is disrupted by the arrival of
Tess (Taylor Russell), a Black niece he
never knew he had. Tess is turning to
him at loose ends, because her mom is
back in rehab, but Lionel’s instinct is
to rebuff her.
Sam Elliott stars in this 2017 drama
as a Western movie icon who attempts
to reconnect with his estranged
daughter (Laura Prepon) and
establish a relationship with a stand-
up comic (Krysten Ritter) after he’s
diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Nick
Offerman, Katharine Ross and Max
Gail (“Barney Miller”) are also in the
cast for director Brett Haley (“Hearts
Beat Loud,” “All the Bright Places”).
