The program distributes thousands of books every year to chil- dren from preschool to grade 6. The choir from Baker Middle School took holiday cheer to Settlers Park when they performed a mini concert for residents. Keating students designed the Mayflower to see who could get the most pilgrims (Jenga blocks) across the ocean (a sink filled with water). In lieu of class Christmas parties, students at Haines Elementary made scarves and blankets for residents of Settlers Park and Meadowbrook Place and delivered the gifts — and sang carols — on December 19. Here, Dawson Fletcher presents a blanket to Florence Mahugh.
