Puncliltoartls at Last Out—
(
Punchboards in the city were the
scene of attraction for the last time
last night, which was the time
placed for their retirement by tils'
chief of police. Mr. McLane gave
the operators time to get their
stocks cleaned up as many of them
had several punchboards and candy
which would have resulted in a loss.
Yesterday, however, the chief gave
notice that the boards were to be
banned after last night and in some
places the punches were being sold
at a discount. Chief McLean states
that any pe.son operating a punch
board will be subject to arrest.
