Cal., where he was called ! by the death of his son, Carl Adams, | the victim of an automobile accident. Carl Adams with his family had just returned from a hunting trip and had stopped by the road at a ranch a few mile, out from Visalia. They bad dismounted from the car and were standing by the road talking A neighbor drove up but two pedes- | trlans came out from I lie rear of ' another car and to avoid hitting them , the neighbor swung his car wide. ' He looked back to see if he had hit lone of them and in doing this his [car swerved, striking Mr. Adams, j who died from the effects of the : injury.
