Rules governing tho baking con­
test:—The rules arc tew and simple
—here they are:
1. Articles entered in the baking
contest are to be baked at home in
any kind of stove or range.
2. Any woman or girl in Josephine
county is entitled to enter tho con­
test except of course professional
cooks, and employes of the Courier
and their families.
3. Insofar as possible the food­
stuffs used In tho cooking contest
are to be the same as used In the
cooking classes.
4. The contest is to be divided In­
to three classes: Bread.

Cake.
and
5. Any kind of bread,
cake may be entered.

ter the baking contest successfully
the ladles of Josephine county. Hogue
River and Evans Creek Valley should
plan on attending the dally classes to
be conducted by Miss Dangler, expert
home economist, on June 24, 25. 2fi
and 27. at the Woodman Hall from
2 until 4:30 every afternoon.

6. Any one person Is entitled to

7. All food entered Is to be the
property of the Courier.
8. Please do NOT bring your en­
tries on plntes you desire to keep. No
plates will be returned.
9. The judging of the breud, pies
and cakes will 1« handled by three
local judges selected by tho Courier.
In all cases their decision will l>o
final.
10. Prises will be awarded by the
Judges on Friday afternoon, June
27th, at tho close of the afternoon
session.
