Cubed Cork insulation
Open the door of an Alaska Refrigerator—feel the
swift onrush of cold air. Lock in the ice compart
ment. See how little ice is needed to give so muchl
refrigeration. That tells what a vital thing Alaska
“Cubed Cork” insulation is.
Place a piece of cork on ice. The cord shows no ap
parent lowering of temperature, due to its resisting
the passage of heat or cold.
Cork does not permit the easy passage of heat or
cold because of the myriads of air cells. Confined
air is the most effective barrier to heat and cold.
“Cubed Cork” with its cells full of confined air, is
the best refrigerator insulating material known.
Come in, look in the “Window” and see this “Cubed
Cork” in place, no other refrigerator does this for
you. See what you are getting.
Big ones, little ones, middle sized ones, in fact—one
for you.

WORKS AT GOLDEN GATE
San Francisco, April 25.—(A. P.I
—Night and day, calm or storm, the
giant I’nited States dredge Culebra
carries on its task of deepening the.
channel outside the Golden Gate to!
make a pathway a ship of any size i
may enter or leave at any time.
The work will require eighteen
months. The channel through the j
Golden Gate will be made 8,000 feet |
long, 2,000 feet wide, and 4 2 feet
deep at low tide. To accomplish
this 2,000,000 cubic feet of sand
must be moved, a hundredth part as
much as was moved to dig the Pan
ama Canal. All this sand must be
sucked up from the ocean bed,
through the giant lungs of the Cule
bra, placed on scows, taken out to
sea and dumped.

“ACRES of land now in profitable

ing did for me and did it nt lower cost."
Many ranchers around here say this
from actual experience. Pacific Stump
ing gives you one-half more powder for
your dollar—shoots stick for stick with
any standard stumping powder, but
you get 142 sticks of Pacific Stumping
as against 100 stick? of the others. It
will not freeze or give you a headache
from handling.
We sell Pacific Stumping and other
du Pont dynamites. See us before buy
