Two Does .Are Killed—
That all hunters are not sports
men is evidenced by the finding of
the work of some vandals who have
been out after deer during the week.
One hunter killed a doe some where
above the Savage Rapids dam, put
the head and other incriminating
evidence in a sack and threw it In
the river. It floated down against
the dam where it was found by the
attendant. What was left of an
other doe was found Sunday on the
slope of Baldy where it had just been
killed, the entrails and head still
being warm. About the remains was
the fawn that had been left mother
less, the little one bleating its
strength away for a mother that
would not return. Upon report to
the game department, the fawn was
canght and will be raised artificially.
One of these does was killed In Jack-
son county and the other in Jose
phine.
