Fire Prevention Day—
In observance of Governor Ben
Olcott's proclamation, the local fire
department spent the day In various
fire drills. Small blazes were kind-
led close to the different school
buildings, and a demonstration of
the use of the chemical fire extin­
guishers followed.
The children
were unaware of the drill, and re­
sponded as to a regular fire. This
week has been set aside as National
Fire Prevention week.
