In the spirit of the New Era a great advance step is taken this year in the Synod 'by holding i eight day session ot exceptional edu cational value. Every Presbyterian church in the state is represented in the Synod by its ministers and el ders and over 200 delegates are ex pected, i Special instructors have been en gaged for valuable courses. In addi tion to the instructors of the Unl versity Summer School. Among those secured by the Synod to give addresses and conduct study courses are Rev. Silas Evans, president of Occidental college.
