who was Injured Saturday by being
caught between an auto truck, which
he was unloading, and the freight
oar door when the car was struck
by a switch engine. Air. Holmes'
condition Is serious.

The two weeks of evangelistic
meetings at the Church of Christ
closed yesterday with splendid au
diences both morning and evening.
The program In the Bible school on
benevolence was excellent a llborul
offering was made for that work.
The Knights Templar were guests at
the 11 o'olock service and a very
helpful hour Is the report of this
service. One new member was add
ed to the congregation. In, the
evening five wore added, making
a total for the meeting of 31.
The folder, Ignition, published
each day created much favorable
comment and was very helpful as
an advertising medium. The work
of Mr. Roberts, as song leader also
received much commendation. The
members of the church are highly
pleased with the success of the meet
Ings.
Community Sing
Dr. D. V. Poling will conduct the
community sing to be given at the
high school tonight at 8 o'clock.
Everybody come prepared to sing.

tory loan 'announces that Congress
man W. C. Hawley will speak at
Grants Pass on April 23. Mr. Haw
ley will also speak at 'Medford on
April 23 and at Roseburg on April
24.
