Cororal Smith Return
Corporal Claude Smith returned
home this morning after serving In"
the. 13th aero squadron nearly two
years, 15 months of that time being
overseas. While Corporal Smith's
work as a mechanic did not take
him close to the front, he with oth
ers made several excursions to the
front lines. His brother, Clyde
Smith, Is still In France. Two other
brothers, Earl and Gale, were In the
sen-ice, but returned some weeks

returned to Grants Pass after six

Ladies' Club Meets
The Ladles' Industrial association
met yesterday at the Chamber of
Commerce rooms, where reports
were made by different ladles who
had prepared lists of Oregon-made
goods. The organization Is a move
to boost Oregon products, this beln

since Mrs. Ely recently organized
