Holman's Furniture Store Irrigation Announcement THE IRRIGATION AND POWER COMPANY Grants Pass, Oregon , j . April :.nl, I'M 9. To the Members orthe GRAVITY DiSTRlCT IMPROVEMENT COMPANY: Gentlemen: ' The Irrigation & Power Company will offer to const ni-t vour Gravity Ditch, or to cause the same' to he count riicted, and to divert water therein at its power plant at $5.00 per acre per season for sufficient water for irrigation up to three acre feet, one-hall' of said $5.00 pen acre to he applied to the repayment of construc tion costs, the landowners to provide the right-of-wav and own and operate the ditch. After construction cost is repaid Un charge will Imj $2.50 an acre for balance of term of contract. ' Such offer will be based on a minimum annual acreage of 1,500 acres during the contract period, which shall be for a mini mum of ten'years. Under such a plan it is unnecessary to bond vour lands or in cur any financial burdens in the construction of the ditch, and you would pay for only such acreage as water is actually used on. It is none too early to take up the question of vour irrigat ion needs for 1920, as ditch work should start in September so that you may definitely know how to prepare your lands for the 1920 irri gation season. Therefore, it is suggested that your membei's and other landowners west of the city, get together and work tint the details of the proposition so that no unnecessary delay will be en countered in the beginning of actual construction work. Very truly yours, THE IRRIGATION & POWER COMPANY, 4 By GEO. W. SORANSON, Secretary.
