Cass of this place. 81 Cases In Medford While Medford has been very lucky In escaping a serious influensa epldemio that is so prevalent all over the country It is interesting to note the following official statistics re garding the situation as It Is today., There have been reported authentic ally that there are 81 cases In Med' ford with six new cases yesterday. The Medford doctors are also at tending 20 cases In the country. Tribune. Henry A. Whipple Dies 'Henry A. Whipple, aged 43, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. R. Whipple ot this city, died at Bend, Ore., on Sunday, November 8, of pneumonia, following an attack of Spanish in fluenza. Mr. Whipple was born In Iowa and came to the coast in 1884. He bad been a resident of Grants Pass for 20 years, having gone to Bend to work in tbe logging camps only a few months ago. The funeral was .held on Monday, Rev. W. C. Stewart, of Send, conducting a pri vate service, and the remains were interred In the Pilot Butte cemetery. W. R. Whipple, who went to Bend and arrived before his son's death, returned to Grants Pass this morn ing. Change at Postal M. B.
