Miss ltrlce Keuyon, Dear Friend: ' We arrived across O. K. with no excitement. We are now in Ens- land, and it sure Is a lot different from the good oM l S. A. The j country is very' pretty place to i look at. The parks and squures arc, fenced with stone fences. The rail- J roads are very email compared with; our railroads. . . j We see very odd looking automo-J biles; some ot thorn are run byi steam, with a smoke stack like a lo-' comotive, and others are run by conij 6r gas. They have a large sack oni the top like a bolloon to carry the! gas In. ' ; We see some largo two-wheeled j carta drawn by two horses, which are driven one In front of the other. ' ; When we march along the streets; crowds of little boys and girls rurt' along beside us begging for pennies.; In the evening when we are off duty j there are crowds of people along the streets looking over the fence at us. It makes a man feel like an an-, lmnl tn the cirrus on exhibition. I We were paid In' English money, and we sure had to do some figuring. The English penny Is as large as our half dollar so you can Imagine how the money looks. We have a good tent to sleep In and pretty good food. There Is an American Y. M. C.
