Not Isaac Newton
The Courier, apologizes to Sir
Isaac Newton. Through a slip of
the typewriter yesterday In relating
a Ashing story the name of the dis
coverer of the secret of gravity was
used for Isaac Walton. It Is hardly
thought that the discoverer of the
binomial theorem and the secret of
gravity would have considered th
art of angling more than a waste of
time. Both lived at the same time
Walton being born In England nearly
50 years before Newton. Newton
was a famouth mathematician, while
Walton was an author, who Is chief
ly remembered by his treatise on
angling.
