One of the great draw-backs to the development of southern Oregon ha been this large body of land which ha been kept from settlement and development. With thia draw back removed and Irrigation devel opment secured, the prosperity of the country la assured. Those land lying within the boundaries of the Irrigation district should prove es pecially desirable In aa much as lands with water rights are many times more valuable than those without water rights. With the O. ft C. land In private .ownership the prospects for the early development of the Irrigation district becomes greatly Improved. While moat of the lands have yet to be cleared, yet the cost of the clear ing Is not heavy, and nnder Irriga tion these lands would be quickly made to yield valuable crops which would more than pay for the clear ing and water tax.
