state approximately $30,000,000 la
crop and plant losses this year, has
been planned by George II. Hecks,
state horticultural commissioner.
The campaign will be opened as
soon as the fields begin turning
green In the spring time and will be
continued until there is reasonable
assurance that the number of ground
squirrels in the stste has been re
duced to a minimum.
