There are hundreds of people In
Grants Pais who were not the least
bit surprised when they read In tbe
Courier that C. 11. Dtomarey Is selling
Ml-o-na on a guarantee to refund tbe
money In case It did not relieve. This
remarkable dyspepsia remedy, will re
lieve the worst case of indigestion,
headache, dizziness, or the general
played-out condition that afflicts
every one suffering with stomach
trouble. Mi-o-na does not simply re
lieve, it aims to cure. ,
C. H. Doiuaray can tell you of
many well known people in this city
whom this remedy has restored to
health, often after tbey have tried
many other uitethods of treatment
with llttlo or no benefit. No other
dyspepsia remedy has made so large
a percentage of cures as Ml-o-na. It
Is so large that C. II. Deroaray standi
ready to refund tills price to any cus
tomer whom it docs not belp.
The best kind of advertising Is tbe
praise of a pleased customer, and
here are hundreds In Grants Pass to
day praising Ml-o-na 'because It does
what it is advertised to do. A few
months ago they could eat nothing
without wondering what the result
would be. Since using Ml-o-na they
eat what they want and when they
want, with no fear of suffering.

MASON TELLS WHAT
Now York, Dec. 21.- Spain may be
preparing to Join tbe Germans, re
take Gibraltar and annex Portugal.
A Gibraltar story of Spain's order
ing Remington rides coincided with
reports that Spain has deposited here
$20,000,000 with which to purchase
munitions.
By waiting until tbe end of the war
Spain could ave 50 per cent on such
purchases. Slio has suffered economic
losses on account of the war and it
is improbable that Madrid would
tolerate extravagance unless require
ments along this line were urgent
Spain Is la no danger of attack
from the belligerents, hence her mu
nitions plans suggest that King Al
fonso plans an offensive. He may
have concluded that either Germany
will win the war or that everybody
will bo so exhausted at the end that
Spain can seize Portugal and
Gibraltar.
England hasa secret offensive and
defensive treaty with Portugal, while
the Spaniards are largely pro-German
sympathizers. Spain remembers Ger
many's sympathy in the Spanleh
American war, and believes England
prevented formation of a European
league In. 1898 that might have saved
for Spain the Philippines and Cuba.
At the same time, Spanish inclina
tions are influenced by the fact that
Alfonso's wife and mother are of
Austro-German descent.

REPORTERS IIUIIT
FOR HEWS OFHAPPY
(By a United Press Staff Corres
pondent) .'
Hot Springs, Va., Dec. 21. Presi
dent Wilson and his bride are still
at Hot Springs very still, to be
exact There's a double guard of
secret service men, hotel detectives
and volunteer employes scattered
about their hotel suite. Newspaper
men will have to work overtime to
make the boss believe, that they are
earning their weekly stipend by the
sllmness of their news. -
Tbe United Press correspondent,
however, is working hard, aa the fol
lowing pieces of news for the papers
show: .
Th3 hotel press agent, interviewed,
said that Robert E. Lee, famous son
of Vuhglnyah, suh, once had a cot
tage here, in fact on the site of the
wing which the president now oc
cupies. An examination of the old books of
the hotel revealed , that Jefferson
once stopped at Warra Springs, part
of tbe resort, and bought a bottle of
wine for ,30 cents. Tom would be
made to feel like 30 cents If he
offered that little now.
The president's waiters, interview
ed, developed no news. They are
the proudest 1 men here, William
Daniel Washington and two aides,
Grey and Blackstone, first names
muffed in the scramble for news.
