Though a member of no church she lived a consistent Christian life and believed that in doing right she was following the in structions given in the Bible. Two years ago she went to Ix)s Angeles, Calif., in hopes that the change of climate would ward off the approach of consumption which had only just fastened it self upon her, but the change brought no improvement and she returned to her home and friends. Everything was done that loving hands and doctors could do, but the dread disease had marked her for a victim, and after a hard and unequal fight of two years, she gave up the conflict and quietly and peacefully passed away, so they tooK the worn and" frail body and laid it down to peaceful slumber in the Le wis cemetery, beside others of her loved ones, where the soft rains of winter and the gentle winds of summer will sing a soft lulla by over her turf-covered habita tion.
