The doctor pleaded guilty to one of four indictments and the udge told him to contribute $200 to the school fund and so home and sin no more. He paid up and retired. Grading la un der way and the construction will be hurried so as to have lt ready by March 1st. This will give the company con nection with the Southern Pacific at Tualatin, so steel needed for the line in the Valley and for structural purposes on the Wilsonville bridge, can be deliv ered more easily. Under the present arrangement material is hauled to Salem od there turned over to the company for delivery on its own line beyond Che- mag a, Roselear, the fish man and wife beater, was up before Justice Bagley last Mon day in Judge Goodin's court for examin- tion and placed under $1,000 bonds to keep the peace. As he could find no one to go on the bond he was returned to jail, where he will probably remain until his wife is given a divorce, which she Is praying Judge McBride to give her during this term of court. At the lamination the defendant admitted that he struck his wife with a pitch fork handle, struck her in the face with his fist, pounded her in the ribs fired roots at her "hundreds of times," but swore that they were all accidents He said that he never threatened to kill his wife, but admitted that he did tell her that if she left him he "would feel 1 most like! killing her." Attorneys for both sides declined to make arguments and the case was submitted to Justice Bagley for his decision, and it was given with perfect fairness to all the parti roncerned. Roberts was granted a saloon license In East Cedar precinct. John Olson executed a deed and the court ordered that a warrant for $406.50 be issued in payment (or the purchase of a rock quarry. A petition was presented from resi dents of Road District No. 14, for divis ion of road district, was continued until the January, l'.W7 term. Willis Ireland presents his monthly reports as recorder, which was approved. Receipts, $308 05. E. J. God man files his report as coun ty clerk fur November and the same was approved. Receipts (or the month, 1240.80. It being shown to the court that a part of the land assetsed to W. J. Ray mond was erroneously assessed and sold for Uxes for the year l'J02 to Washing ton county, it is ordered that certificated of said sale to the county be annulled. It appearing that Geo. R. Bagley made an overpayment of $4 03 on tax, it Is ordered that he be given a refund for that amonnt. E. J. and J. J. Kuratll being the low est and best biJders for the extension of the tax roll, the contract was given to them at the sum of 300.00 Mrs. Nancy Watt's bill for 356 loads of gravel at 5 cents per load taken from Gales creek, was disallowed. The petition of C. W. Barr et al for petition for the location ot county road, as ordered submitted to Hon. Thos. A. McBride, for his opinion. Judge Mc Bride's opinion being received, it is or dered that said road petition be received and that Daniol Baker and Herman Kamna be appointed viewers and with Levi Walker, suiveyor, and the 18th day of December, 1905, at 10 o'clock of said day to view and survey said road and to assess damages, if any. It is ordered that the county clerk cause the publication of the delinquent tax list on the ltK5 tax roll, the same to be published in Th Hillsboro Independ ent and the Hillsboro Argus, the price per line for said publication to be not larger than the price paid in 1005. Pstton & Perry's "Jerry from Kerry" Co., which has been under contract to ppear here since last May, will open at Crescent Theatre Wednesday, lecember The management has looked for ward to the coming of this company as a rare treat for Crescent patrons. "Jerry from Perry" is a farce comedy, up to-date nd clean; fun from itart to finish. Uni formed band and orchestra. Watch for the street parade. At the November term of the county court the commissioners granted a right-of-way to the Oregon Electric Company, now building a car line from Salem, through Tualatin. The people of that place did not thoroughly understand the proposition and called an indigna tion meeting and the granting of the ight-of-way was vigorously criticized. The county commissioners went to Tualatin Wednesday and bad a confer ence with the people there and the mat ter was fixed up In sho't order. The elec tric Company will build a macadamized track one-half mile in length through Tualatin and in other ways make it a huge benefit to that place to have an electric line. As soon as the matter was thoroughly understood the people of Tualatin took hold with a will and are now enthusiastic supports of the street car proposition. Marriage Licenses.
