The breaking out of three cases of smallpox at the University of Oregon Tuesday morning in the boy's dormitory has created much excitement on the campus aud in the city. A meeting of the faculty immediately followed after the nature of the sickness in the build ing became known and it was decided that the dormitory should lie quaran tine! and all the men and students numbering about sixty be confined to the building.
