Joy a base ball game were doubly
favored, laat week, In having two
spleudld games played here, one on
Hturday, the other on Sunday.
Saturday's game was between the
Pacific University team and the
home nine, aud per the first seven
Innings was as good a game as could
be desired, with the score 8 to 2 and
both teams playing almost errorless
ball, but la the lat half of the sev
enth inning Beaverton added 4 more
runs to ber credit and won the game
by the total of 7 to 2, as the visitors
were not again allowed to score.
Sunday's game with T garuville
proved a second victory for the local

The game was Interesting from the
b ginning and started out with the
visiting team in the lead, but the
fifth and eighth innings each netting
the home team six runs, easily gave
