Beaverton $40,990. There baa been
something of a rivalry between Hills

can retort, "Well, I don't care; Hilla-

Cornelius does not levy for city pur

$U00 in the treasury. Cornelius is
fortunate in another respect. The
county and state apportionment of
school money is enough to support
the school so no special tax is levied.
Sherwood is another fortunate city.

There is an epidemic of influenza
passing over llillsboro this week.
Almost every household has a sick
member and there are some where
all are ailing. The attack is serious
with old people but not ordinarily
stubborn with young poop e unless
uneumonia sets in when there Is

present condition, if the same
anount of sickness prevailed among
our soldiers at Manila a great bowl
would be heard, aud the war depart

than it was before we had whipped
