FOREST GROVE PRESS, FOREST GROVE, OREGON. THURSDAY. JANUARY 30. 1913. 7 THE FIRST NATIONAL BANK FOREST GROVE, OREGON The High School is well started in the second semester and the building is more crowded than ever. Those who passed the state ex aminations and entered the High school are: Edith Craft, Ethel Forbes, Robert Illedge and Clar ence Rice. Others entering the High school are: Margaret and Charles Hancock, James Norton, John Doane and Lewis Tumble- son. The High school Freshman held a class party last Friday evening in K. o f P. hall, and in spite of the fact that the Sophomores locked up several members o f the class and endeavored to secure the “ eats” , the evening passed off very pleasantly, all enjoying a good time and an excellent luncheon. Although the Fresh men may seem verdant and un sophisticated, they are not to be outdone by the higher classes of the High school. Pacific Defeated in Debate. The last in the series of debates between Pacific University and the University o f Idaho, held last Friday evening, was decided in favor o f Idaho, the question be ing, ‘ ‘Resolved, That Labor Un ions Should Be Incorporated” . The judges who presided in this city were Pres. Crooks o f Albany, Richard W. Montague, o f Port land and Prof. Jasper J. Stahl, o f Reed college.
