of each apply the stencil design. An­
other cardboard seven Inches long and

This 1s placed lengthw ise of th e edge
of th e tw o larg er pieces and th e edges
whipped o ver an d over w ith strong lin­
en thread.
Now you have th e covering fo r the

made in them corresponding to those
in the covers an d narro w ribbon is
run through each hole, brought over
the back an d tied in a flat bow.
The tie holder is m ade much in the
sam e w ay as th e shaving case. Tw o
pieces of cardboard are c u t fourteen
inches long an d six inches wide, cov­
ered w ith linen stenciled and Joined a t
one edge, so it "will open like a book.
T he ties a re folded an d laid flat in ­
side the cover.
Make th e hand k erch ief case o f linen
folded like an envelope. W hen finish­
ed it is six inches square. T he linen is
padded w ith a layer of cotton w adding
and lined w ith pink or blue china silk.
I t is p ut to g eth er perfectly flat, caught
together w ith em broidery silk a fte r it
is folded over, and th e flap is held in
place w ith a sm all glove clasp.
