The price of the shares advanced December

Remember, your money does not go into

A western woman, a resident o f Se
attle, W ash., has suggested to flip city
council the passage of an ordinance
which will compel all owners o f cats
to put small hells on them so that the
birds will be given warning on their
approach nnd thus thousands of the
feathered tribe saved from destruc
tion. Considering the uselessness of
the average cat. the above suggestion
would seem to be a good one.

There are several states in which
tracts especially nnd definitely devot
ed to the production o f timber or or
chards are exempted from taxation
covering a considerable period o f 1
years.
Those who are Interested in :
either of the above lines would do
well to look tip the laws o f their re-

In order to profit therefrom, while If
there be no such laws the attention o f

Even under the most favorable con
ditions the giving of birth to the young
animals on the farm menns for the
dams a severe drain not only upon
their nervous system, but also their
■tore o f physical vitality.
For this
reason great care should be taken to
see that all animals with young should
be so fed ns to be abundantly nourish
ed. while the quarters in which they
give birth to their offspring should be
dry and clean and free from drafts o f
air.
Care In these two particulars
would a a v . a world o f grief and loan
for the average stock raiser.
