The basket social held by the ladies o f the Evangelical church Saturday night was quite a suc cess in every respect. A very elaborate program o f recitations, dialogues, songs and instrument al music was rendered, after which the baskets were sold. The proceeds from the sale o f baskets amounted to about forty- five dollars, which will be used to buy an organ for the church. The ladies are to be commended for the success o f the affair.
