There is a small section in this city
that is infested with the genuine Cana­
dian thistle and unless the weeds are
removed within a short time the seeds
will spread all over town. The sec­
tion we have reference to is on First
street near the depot grounds of the
Oregon Electric
com pany. Before
these seeds becom e ripe they should
be destroyed as when on ce rooted they
are extremely hard to get rid of.
There is a state law against the letting
of the Canadian thistle grow and it is
also a matter for the consideration of
the city council. Two days’ work
now removing this crop will save both
: time and money in another year.
