Chautauqua Circle.
The Chautauqua Circle Class of the
Woman’s Club was entertained at the
lovely home of Mrs. Dr. Brown. A
most interesting and amusing program
had been prepared by Mrs. Gould, the
class leader. This being the Long
fellow Chautauqua Class, quotations,
poems and music were from his work.
Mrs. Brown proved herself to be a
most charming hostess. A very dainty
supper was served, each class member
was instructed to invite a guest.
Those present were Rev. and Mrs. H.
Gould, Rev. and Mrs J. M. Barber,
Mr. and Mrs. E. E. Williams, Mr.
and Mrs. A. G. Hoffman, Mrs. J. A.

Secretary W. L. Crissey of the Oref
gon State Dairy Association has ready
for circulation the report of that bor’y
for the past year. It is very much the
most comprehensive report which has
appeared concerning any dairy meet
ing on the Pacific Coast, and Mr.
Crissey will furnish a copy to anyone n-
terested, upon request. Oregon has
grown wonderfully in fruit, agriculture
and general industries, but dairying
holds the record for greatest increase, Houses Rented and Rents
dairying products having risen from a
value of 85.000.000 annually five years
ago to 117.000,000 in 1907.
