subjects President Crooks moved that
such organization be effected. The 1
motion carried and W. N. Ferrin of
Pacific University was elected presi­
dent of the league, President Riley of
McMinnville college elected vice pres-
tdent and President Crooks of Albany
college secretary.
Those present were favored with a
beautiful piano solo by Miss Frances
Clapp. Miss Kate Shannon rendered
in a pleasing manner a vocal solo.
Miss H eiJel delivered in a charming
style a reading from Tennyson.
After a vote of thanks to President
Ferrin and the faculty of Pacific Uni-
. versity the meeting adjourned to meet
at the call of the executive committee

such an organization in order to pro­
mote a closer relationship in educa­
tional work between the colleges of
the state.
There could also be a
more uniform system of entrance re­
quirements for admission
brought
about under such an organization.
Professionalism in athletics could be
rooted out and more strict rules could
be enforced if there was united agree­
ment and cooperation.
