W ilson, a farmer w ho lives a few miles west of town, was arrested by Deputy Game Warden Nichols for killing beavers. W hen brought before Justice Wirtz he pleaded guilty and a fine of $15 and costs was im posed or a jail sentence of seven and one-half days. Wilson took the jail sentence and was taken to H illsboro this after-1 noon. The beavers, it is reported, are becom ing a nuisance. Trees in A1 Dilley’ s orchard have been gnawed and in som e cases the bark ha3 been peeled off thus damaging the trees seriously.
