Emphatically Received Peterson— Crow. When H . H. Stuart, the popular attache of the condenser and his amia ble bride, stepped from the 9 a. m. train Tuesday they were emphatically received. Geo. Sibley says he received a wire from Seattle stating that the bridal couple would arrive on that day and was instructed to arrange to receive them. Well, whether he did or not is not a question, for when the train stopped the condenser whistle was tied down for about 15 minutes, besides during the noise seven pounds of dynamite were set off, enough to raise the hair of any admiral, and all the other known appliances for making a noise were set in motion. The day before appropriate coupons which read like this: “ Cigar coupon, the holder of this coupon is entitled to one good cigar by applying at the condenser any time after the whistle blows, a. m. Tuesday, Oct. 31 1905. H. H. Stuart.” These to the number of 500 were distributed throughout the country so that everyone throughout the country might smuke to the health and best wishes of the bride and groom. Wedding bells rang out in Portland Sunday, on the occasion of the mar riage of Mr. Pete Peterson to Mrs. Sarah E. Crowe, both former residents of this city. The Wedding was cele brated at the home of the bride in the presence of relatives and intimate friends. Mr. and Mrs. Peterson’s For est Grove friends have been sending them their heartiest congratulations. Report of Dilley. District 10. Goldenrod Hour Guaranteed ORIGIN O F P IK E ’S PEAK.
