A NEW Ernest Wilkins of Cornelius, was a Gales Creek visitor, Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. John Davis of Everett Wash., were the guests of Jas. Berry over Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. John Corum of South ern Oregon, are visiting friends and relatives here. John Lilly, who has been over on his ranch near Buxton, returned from there last week. Luke Lilley and wife of Jacksonville, Ore., were the guests of J. L. Loving j and family, Tuesday. Mrs. Julia McKinney and daughter of Condon, Ore., were guests of J. F. Lafferty and family, Wednesday. Miss Madge Chapman left here Sunday and after visiting the fair a few days she intends to visit with her sister in Eufalla, Wash. HILLSIDE Mr. Aydelott bought fifty acres of j the Zeigler place. A good many hunters say game is scarce this season. Mr. and Mrs. King have moved into their home near Hillside. J j Our school began last Monday with I | Miss Clara Loynes in charge. Prune drying is nearly over and it is | a good crop in these parts this year. Mr. Watkins, uncle of Mrs. N. J. Baker, after attending the Exposition j and a short visit here, returned to his ! I home near Tillamook. Mr. Braun had the misfortune to ; fall and break his leg over again last | j Thursday evening. It may now be i some months before he is able to be i out. Mrs. Ethel Curtis Fleck and daugh- { ter of Colorado City, Colorado, are visiting friends and relatives at this | place. Mr. Curtis gave a party for s 1 them last Thursday evening which was j gTeatly enjoyed by all. j Dissolution of Partnership The partnership heretofore existing between T. A. Ritchey and H. J. Wells, under the firm name of Ritchey 1 [ Sr Wells is hereby dissolved by mutual consent. Each of them will continue in business. Mr. Ritchey will be found at his old stand on Pacific Avenue, while Mr. Wells will continue I business at the same stand.
