County, Oregon, are hereby notified
that the last half of their taxes for the
year 1904, and levied in Jan’ y 1905,
are now payable, and will become de-
linpuent on the First Monday in Octo­
ber, 1905, at which time interest at
rate of 12 per cent per annum will be
charged in addition to 10 per cent
penalty, which interest charge will be
computed from the first Monday in
April, 1905.

Horse Killed in Runaway.
A bad runaway occurred at the
depot last Thursday night that resulted
in killing the large gray horse of Han­
cock, Gordon & Elliott, the liverymen.
