Both of the Hillsboro bands played
at the encampment in C, melius. ' On
Monday the Hillsboro Ladies’ band
furnished the music for the day. The
music was first class and highly appre
ciated. Neither of these bands had a
chance of fiiling an engagement during
the encampment. Both bands being
hired by Hillsboro people. A cheap
band was hired and cheaper music was
furnished by a Forest Grove band.—-

Buxton Grange Celebrates.

A large crowd attended the Fourth
of July celebration given by the Bux
ton Grange. About 10:30 the pro
cession formed, headed by Mr. O’ Don
nell as marshal, followed by the Lib
erty Wagon, Lodge Officials of the
Grange, Calathumpians or Plug Ug-
lies, etc.
Soon after, the Declaration of Inde
pendence was read by Charlie Peterson
and the oration delivered by President
Ferrin of P. U. This was followed by
