Work on the Government Building at the Lewis and Clark Centennial, is progressing rapidly, and the building will be completed by April 1st. Roosevelt avenue, which skirts the shore of the Govermment Peninsula at the Lewis and Clark Centennial, is the only road named after a living American. The bronze statue of Sacajawea, the Indian heroine, will be located in the center of Columbia Court, the central plaza of the Exposition. The statue will face the west. The shady driveways in O ntennial Park at the Lewis and Clark Fair have been named after western states, being known as Idaho Avenue, Wyoming Avenue and Montana Avenue. The National Association of S tate' Dairy and Food Departments, con- j sisting of about 300 delegates, will hold its next convention at Portland in June, during the Lewis and Clark Cen tennial.
