F. L. Carter of the Peters Cartridge
Co. of Cincinnatti, Ohio, was in the
city Monday and while here gave an
exhibition of his wonderful skill as a
rifle marksman at the grounds of the

School began last Monday at the
Lyda school house with Frank Fletch­
er as teacher. It is his first exper­
ience in this work but he is getting
along nicely.
The Colporter of the Missionary
Baptist Church Association is in this
vicinity with his gospel wagon, selling
religious books and holding meetings
in the Union Church during the even­
ings of this week.

Miss Gordon expects to move into
the new building in three weeks.
Harley Watrous and Beryl Smith are
new pupils in Miss Gordon’s room.
