The Treasurer’s monthly report as accepted contained balance on hand: $204.43; receipts, $1952.69, dis­ bursements, $1071.46. Some discussion as to where the public watering trough should be placed. Finally it was left to the com­ mittee to place it where it would be out of the way, yet to be placed as convenient as possible. The commit­ tee on water rates made only a partial report. A resolution was adopted regu­ lating the hours of sprinkling to four hours a day, from 6 to 8 in the morn­ ing and from 6 to 8 in the evening. Mr. Cronin’s salary was raised to $15 per month, and even that does not adequately pay him for his labors. Mr. A. B. Thomas was allowed to put a corrogated iron building on Pa­ cific avenue in the rear of his store. A warrant for $1000 was ordered drawn to take up that amount of the bonded indebtedness.
