The Forest G ,-ove team played a game of iootball at McMinnville Tuesday with a local team there and so evenly matched were the contestants that the undis puted score stood nothing to nothing. In the first half the McM’s kicked the ball through the goal and claimed a touchdown which was allowed by the referee but authorities dispute this de cision. All through the game was clean and fair, with best of feeling. McKen zie made the Grove’s star plays though it was a creditable game for all the players. A false punt upon which t ie boys gained eight yards seems to have brought most joy to their souls from the gusto with which they tell it. All speak highly of the royal treatment they re ceived in the Yamhill city and especially of the girls galore who made them selves so agreeable. Entertainment, banquet and reception which were provided for them were all enthusiasti cally praised. The Grove boys were: Ed. Dixon, center; A. D. Schoch and Leach, guards; Ed. Crang and Harve Baldwin, tackles; Kreider and Thorn burg, ends; Cardiff, quarter-back; Mc Kenzie, full-hack; Walt Dixon and Cronin, half-back*; Dolatrum and Boos substitutes.
