GOOD Death of Caleb Woods. Caleb Woods dropped dead Tuesday forenoon about It o’clock on the side walk in front of his son’s house just as lie was returning home. The funeral services which were largely atteuded were held Wednesday afternoon in the Christj-jH church by Rev. Peter Burnett ¡ the pastor. The remains were taken this morning to Buena Vista where they will be interred beside his wife. Mr. Woods departed this life in the fullness > of years after an active and useful life. Caleb Woods was born in Kentucky in 1806, in childhood went to Missouri and in ’47 moved to Oregon settling on a farm in Yam hill county. He married when about twenty-three Miss Margaret McBride whom he survived. Of his two sons, Ex. Gov, Geo. L. Woods died some years ago leaving two sons who are resi dents of California, the other son is Mr. J . C. Woods of Forest Grove.
