This Person & That B y C. T . E. ......... Continued from Page 3 County Agent Inskeep in his interesting 1958 crop report of Clackamas County published in this paper last week said: “ Pro ducers of black caps ran into a snag with overproduction. I f the seeds were taken out of black caps in the preserves there would be no jam on the pantry shelves or elsewhere. Then the preserves could be eaten by everybody in cluding th thousands who have their teeth. A member of a road crew was in Sprngwator the other day and asked a resident how the roads were. ‘So blooming good"replied the man that cars go so fast on them that the dogs cant get a bark a piece at ’em.’’ A week ago a boy and girl were on this road and he exclaimed: “ It’s grand to be speeding along like this. Don’t you fell glad to be alive? “ Glad isnt the word” she replied “ I ’m amazed” A woman in this section threw out all the Christmas candy this week. It was so sticky all the time and she found out why this was. Her small son licked every piece before choosing the one he wanted. It ’s pot to be that everybody thinks they can give a better def inition of a word than the dict ionary. Like for instance: They say that Webster should have who said: “ a bachelor is o man enjoys life, liberty and the hap- piness of pursuit.” Then another one: “ A pedestrian is a man who has two cars, a wife and a daugh ter.” Mr. and Mrs. Bussell Reed mo ving into their new Suoth Estaca- da home reminds an old timer of the time when he used to pass the old Reed place in Estacada every day and that a nice little girl lived there. he exact number is not known. All the originals are missing, but the committee expressed belief that if they cannot be located, at least copies made in 1856 can be found, Try a Classified Ad in this paper, Costs little, get big results, Mr. Albert Hitching was tak- en to the Holiday Park Hospital on Thursday of last week.
