Coach Vcm Marshall of the Es
tacada Union High School, has
been having pre-season practice
since November 10 with a squad
of 29 boys.
In basketball this season the
Rangers are helped by the pres
ence of *hrce transfers: Tim May
| and Bruce Woolstenhulme, Jun
iors and Richard Groce, a senior.
In addition to these three,there
are six returning lettermen from
last season. Ron Smith, Jim
Keller. Gordy Hitching, Robin
Cody, Raph Larson and John
Worley received letters last year.
The varsity squad of 12 is round
ed out by Pat Mitchell, Jim Don-
alson and Jerry Clark.
Although they are short (the
Ran t :,-; average 5 feet, 9 inches
in height) they are expected to
do better this year in the new
j Cowpa league than they did last
year.
The J. V. team consists mostly
of freshmen. They are coached by
Earl Lampe, who is in his first
year at EUHS.
