Clackamas County News, Estacada, Ore. Auff. 2, 1957 Engle Creek (By Margaret Ross) Quite a number o f local fam ilies were attracted to the beach over last weekend, especially because of good clam -digging prospects. To top it off, every one who traveled seemed to find exceptionally perfect wea ther. At Ocean Park were the Tony Buhlinger fam ily with George Suter as their guest, also Sibyl Baley and her children and her father and mother,Mr.and Mrs. Earl Holbrook. Mr.and Mrs Lloyd Potter and Karen spent this past week. Wed. to Wed. camping at Ocean Park. Mr. and Mrs. Paul Still went to DeLake for the weekend,also taking the ocean drive as far south as Waldport. M r and Mrs. Ora Gaylord and Barbara drove to Klamath Falls early Saturday, returning late Sunday P.M They visited their son Roy, who is staying with Oras nephew, Grady Gay lord and fam ily .They also stop ped at Crater Lake enroute. Mr. and Mrs. Shirley Burnett drove to Diamond Lake for the weekend, accompanied by Win nie Shibley and Karen Epper son, to see their son Tom, who is working for the Forest Ser vice. They enjoyed a boat trip around the Lake, escorted by Harry Blake of Estacada, who is supervisor of the crew of boys. They also saw Crater Lake on Saturday. Mr, and Mrs. Neal Jeppeson drove t(J Elgin,Ore., for the weekend, taking little grand son Tommy to his parents,Lo- vern and Margie Jeppeson, who have just sotted there Elgin is in the foothills of the Blue Mts 20 miles from La- Grande. Mrs Maud Burnett, who had as houseguest last week her sister Edna Parsons, returned to Portland with Mrs. Parsons for the weekend. On Sunday they attended Westminster Presbyterian church where special honor was accorded to associate pastor Dr. Arch Kearns and Mrs Kearns, who form erly served our local Presbyterian churches here. In the occasion of the Kerns’ 40th wedding anniversary two of their sons conducted the church service— Rev. Paul S. Kerns o f San Francisco and Rev.
