Monday that an REA official from
Washington, D. C., was expected this
week to survey the proposed expan
sion plan. He said that the Scotts
Mills area already had organized and

LOCAL HIGH SCHOOL ELEVEN REGISTRATION BEING TAKEN
WILL CLASH WITH BRUISERS FOR COUNTY DEFENSE UNIT
FROM CANBY AT CANBY
AT EAGLE CREEK
Another important football game
in the Big Nine league is scheduled
to be played this afternoon, Friday,
October 17 on the Canby grid when
the Estacada Rangers clash with the
Canby Cougars.
The Rangers have been sort of
“out of luck” with their home games
and perhaps may emerge with a bet
ter showing after the Canby set to.
Last Friday afternoon the Sandy
Pioneers scored an easy victory over
Estacada on the local field winning
by a score of 34 to 0. The Sandy
lads are tough and fart but nobody
expected them to be that tough.
Three more Big Nine league
games remain for the Estacada Ran
gers after their argument today with
Canby, namely the game with Silver-
ton at Estacada next Friday, Octo.
ber 24; the tilt with the Motella
Buckeroos at Molalla October 31;
and the scrap with their ancient ri
vals the Gresham Gophers which will
take place at Gresham on Novem
ber 14. The game between Estacada
and Gresham has always been held
on Armistice day in previous years
but this season has been moved up
to November 14th.
A class in first aid under direction
of the Oregon civil reserve will be
held in the Eagle Creek dance hall
next Tuesday evening, October 21 at
8 o’clock. Similar classes will be con
ducted every Tuesday evening until
the course is completed.
Everybody who can is urged to
take this filet aid course and also
to enroll in the Clackamas county
civilian defense organization .Blanks
for enrollment are at the Eagle Creek
Inn and the Eagle Creek store where
you may register.
