Two Oregon men, one 59 years of
age anil the other 84 have requested
permission to enlist as volunteers in
the United States armed forces, Lieut.
Col. Elmer V Wooten state selective
service director announced at Salem
Thursday.
Ur. Williams oldest of the two
men lives at Sandy, Clackamas coun

that he would not require much equip
ment for the reason that he owns
two trusted rifles and a quantity of
ammunition. Williams said he could
account for an enemy at each shot.
Otto Lantincn, Mulino, also in this
county said he had served several en

artillery. He requested special consi

Both men applied to Clackamas
county selective service board No. 1
