GRADE SCHOOL IN
HEALTH CONTEST
This week the grade school o f Es
tacada began the,Blue Ribbon Health
contest, now being carried on by the
Clackamas County Health associa
lion. Children who eared to enter
the contest were given a health chart
on which to keep a record o f their
<’aiiy habits.
The contest will close in May and
r parade will take place in Oregon
City for all blue ribbon children. In
order to enter the parade, a pupil
must get a certificate from the doctoi
for his general health, including his
tonsils, adenoids, ears, eyes, etc., r
certificate from his dentist, and one
from his teacher, certifying that h .
has completed his health chart.
Nearly all the children entered the
contest and it is hoped to have r
good representation in the parade.
The children are all weighed and
measured each month to find hov
much each one is under weight oi
over weight, as the ease may be.

home on account of illness, and who

Band and has always been an enthu
siastic and faithful member, was re
membered by the band Monday eve
ning. The boys, while practicing, de

to his residence, which was greatly
appreciated by the sick man. He sat
in his room and listened to the music
with much pleasure.
